Bio:
John Forsell was a Swedish visual artist whose work is associated with a modernist and colour-oriented approach. His compositions are characterised by a free treatment of colour and form, with figurative elements drawn from nature simplified and incorporated into decorative, near-abstract pictorial fields. In works of this type, birds, vegetation and flowers become part of a poetic whole in which colour, texture and brushwork play a central role. Limited reliably documented biographical information about the artist is available in commonly accessible artist records.
