Gutte Eriksen and her circle of ceramicists
Gutte Eriksen (1918-2008) Danish ceramicist. She came to the School of Arts and Crafts in Copenhagen in 1936 and made her debut a few years later at the Artists' Autumn Exhibition.
During a stay with the ceramist Bernhard Leach, who lived in Cornwall, she became acquainted with Japanese ceramics, which helped to create her own style, which was characterized by simplicity and robustness as well as burning many rounds.
