Jens Peter Dahl-Jensen (1874-1960), Danish sculptor. Dahl-Jensen was trained as a carpenter and sculptor before joining the Academy of Fine Arts in 1894-97. He is especially known for his animal statuettes in underglaze painted porcelain, which he modeled for Bing & Grondahl, where he was employed 1897-1917. In 1925 he founded the family business Dahl-Jensen Porcelæn in Copenhagen, which in addition to the production of animal figures became known for a number of oriental figures (1930-58); the company closed in 1985.
