Christmas spoons are a popular collectors’ item in Denmark. They come in several different versions, silver or gilt, with enamel decoration.
Anton Michelsen, who started the Christmas spoon tradition in Denmark, established himself as a goldsmith back in 1841. The first A. Michelsen Christmas spoon was made in 1910.
