In 1933 he studied at the Reimann-Schule in Berlin and painted his first nonfigurative work in 1940. He debuted at the Artists’ Autumn Exhibition in 1945 and co-founded the artist group Linien II in 1947. He created concrete works such as the relief Hommage à Piet Mondrian (1947, Esbjerg Art Museum) and later developed a visual style with strong colors, circles, and lines. Alongside his artistic career, he ran well-known Copenhagen establishments such as Tokanten (from 1945) and Vingården (1956–79).\u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"Various","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":54361274712406,"sku":"622142","price":240.0,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0458\/7356\/1761\/files\/622142.jpg?v=1782556284","url":"https:\/\/l-art-copenhagen.com\/products\/622142","provider":"L' ART COPENHAGEN","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
